It’s been a while. Again. For reasons varied and tedious. But today, Father’s Day (in the UK), I managed to pick up the camera with intent, dust it off and head out with more enthusiasm than I have for months. Taking in the abundance of green around the trails around a local woodland park, with the boy and the dogs in tow, it was good to be back on the bus (photographically speaking, we took the car there) and to get in some creative warm up exercises. Fresh air, a brief hail storm and a clap of thunder all added to the enjoyment of being out in the thick of nature without a headful of distractions.
The plan is to focus more on the site here (been off most social media for months*, found it was too much of an unnecessary distraction and felt a bit controlling and intrusive at times). Even if it is just for me. And I know that’s the opposite of what being social is, but I’m happier doing that face-to-face just now.
*still posting to Instagram now and then (and these are automatically being copied over to my Facebook page) and keeping an eye on Twitter but I’m selfishly being mostly anti-social and only responding when I can really be arsed.
